Week of beautifying and pampering

Hubby was away for his conference since the weekend. I was having some medical issues that kept me from moving to quickly, those that know me can guess, those that don’t, really don’t want to know what was up…  So that meant everything I had planned for the weekend was bunk, except for my new cook book which I am totally stoked to order!!!

But the rest of this week has been great! Monday afternoon I popped down to Chiro Dimensions for a “scrape”.  Yes it does indeed sound barbaric and if you don’t have a good pain tolerance skip it! What it is, is this metal tool that she uses to scrape the muscle fibers to break up the knots. Did I see you all cringe? Well I figured since my masseuses spend inordinate amounts of time trying to pressure the knots out, let’s do it a little different. I also had my feet adjusted- ahhh… if you have ever had your ankles lock on you, have your feet adjusted. Mmnmmm!  And I also had my neck and shoulders adjusted a smidge to add to the scraping effect.

After that I was off to shop for the Hubby with Lori from Images Matter. I had her go thru hubby’s closet last February and she removed all the offending items which was most of his clothes… So I picked up some goodies to start refilling it!

Finally after I couldn’t take any more shopping I popped over to the Rio to grab a beverage with my friend and old massues Jessica!  Gosh do I miss her.

Tuesday I took a power yoga class which is small enough that the instructor has time to come around and adjust you. Oh my! I felt sooooo good and sooooo tired! Can’t wait to back!

Wednesday was my final day of pampering and beauty! I had a lunch appointment with my estatician. I love her! She doesn’t hurt me, she makes me look great and I leave with less hair than I went in! She did the brow and the nether regions. I’m looking good!

The day ended with a 1.5 hour massage over at Massage Envy. Mmmmmm!

I had her focus on where McKenzie said would relieve the most tension in my shoulders and when she rolled over my shoulder blades dang if that knot wasn’t much smaller than it used to be!

So I’m all loose, shopped, beautified, and fed! It was a great week to have the hubby out of town!
